Joe's Farm flowers

Flowers picked at Joe's Farm.

colorful explosion of zinnias lines the edge of Joe’s Farm, a certified organic, direct-to-customer farm at 12811 S. Sheridan Road in Bixby.

Owner Joe Tierney says he expects to have almost 2,000 pick-your-own zinnias available throughout the summer into September, along with a few rows of coxcomb (also called celosia).

Each picker pays $10 and gets a Mason jar to fill up and take home. Tierney also hopes to have his first crops of blackberries and cherry tomatoes ready for picking this summer.

After filling their Mason jars or picking their berries, customers can make a grocery stop at the barn store to stock up on milk, cheese, mushrooms, homemade pasta, honey, coffee and many other food items from area producers.

Reserve a picking time at

9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Saturday.
