UPDATE 12/19/20 — The Tulsa Farmers’ Market, formerly the Cherry Street Farmers’ Market, will move to the Kendall Whittier neighborhood in 2020. The new season kicks off April 4 and occurs every Saturday from 7-11 a.m. through Oct. 24 at the intersection of Admiral Boulevard and Lewis Avenue, according to a press release.
It’s hard to imagine a year without the Cherry Street Farmers’ Market on East 15th Street. But due to road work, the market will not be on Cherry Street in 2020. Market organizers have not yet announced the new temporary location for spring and summer.
But until then, we can enjoy the Winter Market, which is in Kendall Whittier, near South Lewis Avenue and East Admiral Boulevard. The market runs 8:30 a.m.-noon every other Saturday through March. The Winter Market is a great place to pick up everything you’ll need for the holidays, from winter vegetables and herbs to locally made bacon and sausage.
If you can’t make Saturday mornings at the market, there’s always the Farm Stand, the market inside Mother Road Market, 1124 S. Lewis Ave., stocked with favorites from many of the vendors at the Cherry Street Farmers’ Market. The Farm Stand is open 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday and Sunday; and 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Friday-Saturday.
