Though you don't need a special occasion to get brunch or treat your mom to something special, Mother's Day is the time to celebrate with great food and better company. Lucky for us, Tulsa has a plethora of brunch spots that will make Mom's day. Here are five of our favorites.
SMOKE. Woodfire Grill
Start with the bacon jam on crostini with goat cheese, arugula and tomato ($10). Another favorite, smoked brisket burrito ($11) features scrambled eggs, smoked brisket, pico, cheddar, pork green chili, potatoes on the side. Smoke’s seasonal menu is always great, as are any chef’s specials. Order your mom a Gloria, a cocktail of pineapple-infused vodka, simple syrup, lemon and Champagne. Brunch menu here.

Brookside By Day
Breakfast at BBD includes Belgian waffles, French toast and cinnamon rolls better than any you would make at home. The murrito ($9.50) is a favorite, with scrambled eggs, sausage, green onions and cheddar wrapped in a flour tortilla. This breakfast burrito is even better with fresh guacamole, sour cream, homemade salsa and home fries. The eggs Benedict ($9.95) is breakfast at its best. Or, turn the traditional benedict to the west by replacing pork sausage for the ham and country gravy for the hollandaise.

Since opening in 2015, Toast has brought breakfast and brunch to a whole new level in the Broken Arrow Rose District. Toast’s menu includes traditional breakfast and brunch dishes mixed with new takes on old favorites. One of those is the Southwest Bruschetta Benny ($11), where eggs Benedict is transformed as two poached eggs sit atop a bed of tortilla chips, all topped with fresh mozzarella, avocado salad, cilantro pesto hollandaise, balsamic drizzle and pumpkin seeds.

The French Hen
Looking to beat the Sunday brunch crowd while treating Mom like a queen? The French Hen remains a place where you feel pampered and where detail matters. Take Mom to dinner the Saturday before Mother’s Day and splurge on the roasted lobster tail with crab hollandaise, wilted baby spinach and pommes Anna ($46). The bouillabaisse ($32) full of scallops, shrimp, mussels and fish is a favorite. The French Hen also has a special Mother’s Day menu for Sunday.

Under the direction of chef James Shrader of the Palace Cafe and Prairie Fire Pie, Kitchen 27 replaced La Villa as Philbrook’s restaurant in the spring of 2018. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, diners look out to Philbrook’s immaculate gardens and tempietto. And above the dining room is an airy look toward the museum rotunda. Weekends at Philbrook are always busy, and the same goes for the dining room. Since Kitchen 27 opened, tables have been filling up at 10 a.m., when brunch begins. Sunday brunch is served buffet style for $27.95 per person.
Want to celebrate a day early? Saturday brunch is a mix of fun fare — like doughnuts with a maple-vanilla glaze ($6) — and heartier foods like steak and eggs ($18) with hollandaise sauce and home fries, or a waffle and sausage Benedict ($14): mini waffles layered with maple sausage, a poached egg and hollandaise.
