"Dealing with Dementia" is a half-day educational program from LIFE Senior Services for caregivers and others dealing with someone who has Alzheimer's disease or another dementia disorder. The program will offer an explanation of dementia, best practices for dementia caregiving and creative ideas for solving problems associated with dementia behaviors. Respite is available and recommended during the program. The free respite is available a short distance from the Conference Center where the program will take place. "Dealing with Dementia" takes place on December 10 from 1 to 5:30 p.m. at Legacy Plaza Conference Center, 5330 E. 31st Street. Respite is available at LIFE's Senior Services Adult Day Health Center at 5950 E. 31st Street. Respite care is free, but we do ask for 24-hour advance notice.
