I officially dub the last few months of 2021 as The Season of the Facial. I just got my very first one at Fig Medical Spa. It was awesome.

Fig, 8921 S. Yale Ave, Suite B, offers many many MANY different aesthetic services, so at first I got a little overwhelmed. I booked a free consultation to go over what were the best options for my skin.

The upshot: they pretty much all sound great and I want all of them.

I decided on the Fire and Ice facial to start. The name intimidated me a little, but it was literally one of the most soothing experiences of my life. The “fire” part I found gently warm and cinnamon-y; the “ice” was cooling and wonderful, with icy smooth stones rolled over my face at the end.

I expected to be stressed going to a new place and letting brand new people administer to my face, but everyone at Fig is so zen and pleasant that I felt comfy the entire time. For that alone Fig would be my new favorite place.

Treat yourself with kindness and care this holiday season and beyond. For me this will certainly include regular visits to Fig.
