Description

Over the past thirteen years, the Williams Route 66 Marathon presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma has become a 26.2-mile party! You might find yourself asking "Is this a race or really just a huge party?" while out on our course. Participants are the priority at the Williams Route 66 Marathon, and the Tulsa community comes out in full force for support.

Runners, walkers and party animals from all 50 states and more than 15 countries travel to Tulsa for this one-of-a-kind road race, that winds through Tulsa's famed art deco district and beautiful neighborhoods. The event offers a marathon, half marathon, marathon relay, 5k run and walk, one-mile fun run and walk, and our unique "mascot dash," in addition to the largest fitness expo in Northeastern Oklahoma. But the fun doesn't stop there, the Route 66 Marathon is known for the World's Shortest Ultra with the Center of the Universe Detour that adds .3 miles to the race.

For companies based in Oklahoma, the Williams Route 66 Marathon hosts a corporate challenge that encourages professionals across the region to get fit.
