Floral Haven Funeral Home, Crematory & Cemetery (Broken Arrow) remembers those who made the ultimate sacrifice during a weekend of commemorations to mark Memorial Day. Among the scheduled activities:

Memorial Day Weekend Observance Ceremony (including unveiling of a new replica of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier) – Sat, 5/25 from 10 a.m.

 * Walter Still, Floral Haven General Manager, and Congressman Kevin Kern, this year’s keynote speaker, unveil the new tomb which was donated through the support of the Soldier’s Wish organization and community donations.


Changing of the Guard of Honor at The Tomb of the Unknown Solider – Sat, 5/25 from 1 p.m.

 * Members of the Starbase Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol reenact the “Changing of the Guard” at the replica of The Tomb of the Unknown Solider. Beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday, the solemn ceremony will be performed every half-hour during the day and every hour at night for 24 hours.
