Carrying on the mission of Living Arts in the shadow of a long-time leader without losing her individual vision—that is the task at hand for Living Arts’ Artistic Director Jessica Borusky.
Jessica will speak about her choice to join Living Arts in July and to lead the organization after the retirement of Steve Liggett, who led Living Arts for 26 years and was pivotal in establishing it as a leading contemporary art advocate.
She will discuss ways to successfully preserve both the legacy of past leaders and an organization’s mission while also displaying fearlessness and confidence in our own ideas. She will highlight the value of various perspectives, how these help to propel organizations forward and why we should not be afraid to speak up.
The Association for Women in Communications Tulsa Chapter hosts monthly lunch programming from September through April annually. The fall speakers have been announced and cover topics ranging from social media, organizational voice, and blogging. Speakers include Mayor GT Bynum, the new Artistic Director for Living Arts, Jessica Borusky, and more.
