Empower! Abilities Expo: Resources for Equipping People with Physical Challenges

Description

The event is an integrative health and wellness fair. This initiative will focus on bettering the lives of individuals living with paralysis and/or other physical impairments and provide helpful resource information to them, caregivers, health care professionals, and the general public. The “EMPOWER! Abilities Expo”­­­ will have vendor booths available and be an opportunity for businesses and organization to showcase their services, invite their current clients, and meet prospective clients.

Special Guest Speaker will be Dr. LaMont Cavanagh at 10:30 a.m. The topic of his presentation will be, “Food As Medicine” which will conclude with questions and answers.

Local artist, Emeka Nnaka, will display artwork at the event. He was recently featured on the Ellen Degeneres Show. 

This special event is made possible by a generous Quality of Life grant from The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.
