Earth Day Festival

The Tulsa Earth Coalition will present an Earth Day Festival from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on  Saturday, April 22, at Helmerich Park in Tulsa, 71st Street and Riverside Drive. The  event is free and open to the public. Festival sponsors are the Carrie Dickerson Foundation, the All Souls Green Team and the Green Country Group of the Sierra Club. Scheduled activities include live music, guest speakers, craft booths, a kids' zone and  information tables. Food trucks also will be on site. Everyone attending the Earth Day Festival will be invited to join in a Hands Around  the Park ceremony at noon. Each year on April 22, Earth Day celebrations are held around the world to support environmental protection and sustainable stewardship of the planet. The first Earth Day events were held in the United States in 1970.   Facebook event page
