"Dear Oklahoma" Podcast Launch Party

Sep 20, 2018
06:30 PM until 08:30 PM

Help us celebrate the launch of our new podcast! We're hosting a live episode recording with Pushcart Prize-winning OSU alumnus Brandon Hobson and an open mic with participants in our first season.

Hosted by KOSU radio, OSU Edmon Low Library, and the Center for Poets and Writers at OSU-Tulsa, "Dear Oklahoma" amplifies the voices of writers who have something to say to our home state. Each episode features readings of poetry, essay, creative nonfiction, or flash fiction with commentary about writing in Oklahoma. Emily Hull, (OSU Oral HIstory Research Program) and Lindsey Smith (Center for Poets and Writers at OSUT) are show hosts.

Season One includes the following episodes:

  • Teacher walkout, featuring John Waldron (including audio from the capitol)--letters, essay
  • Dinah Cox--short story
  • John Andrews--poetry
  • Chris Murphy--flash fiction
  • Hannibal Johnson--poetry, essay
  • Clem Heard--poetry
  • Deborah Hunter--poetry
  • Kate Strum--creative nonfiction
