AAUW Woman to Woman Day

Date/Time

Mar 23, 2017
11:00 AM until 07:00 PM

Description

The Northeastern State University-Tahlequah community is invited to AAUW Woman to Woman Day, a full day of networking, engagement, and discussion with women and about women in celebration of Women's History Month.

The American Association of University Women is the nation's leading voice promoting equity and education for women and girls. Woman to Woman Day seeks to highlight issues of women in leadership, Native American women in education, campus safety, Oklahoma women in politics, and more.

Woman to Woman Day is comprised of three events on March 23. All events will take place in the Northeastern State University Center Morgan Room and Redbud Rooms.

The Women's Networking Luncheon will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A $5 entry fee is required and light refreshments will be provided.

The afternoon portion will have Woman to Woman discussion panels with faculty, staff, and students, 2 to 4 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

Woman to Woman Day will culminate in the Woman to Woman Scholarship Banquet, 5:30-7 p.m., with keynote speaker Rep. Emily Virgin. For $25, attendees will receive a full meal and a chance to win a free AAUW membership. Proceeds will benefit AAUW female student scholarships. Participants who are able are encouraged to adopt a student's entry fee.
