Travel: Along the Danube

Forty Tulsans joined TulsaPeople Magazine in June on the magazine’s seventh travel adventure. This year’s destination was “the storied landscapes, cultural heritage and centuries-old architecture of the Old World” along the Danube River.

Cities visited along the Danube were Vienna, Durnstein and Melk in Austria, and Deggendorf and Nuremberg in Germany. The trip included tours in each city, wine and beer tastings, and private coaches for TulsaPeople travelers.

The vessel for the river voyage was The Tapestry, part of the Avalon Waterways Cruise Line. Arrangements for the trip were handled by Ken Gulko of TravelStore.

Past TulsaPeople trips have visited Alaska, Paris to Rome, Scotland and England, Ireland, cruising the Mediterranean from Barcelona to Athens, and river cruising in Holland and Belgium.
