Holiday help
Maybe one of these classes can put a little jingle in what feels like a jungle out there.
Hillcrest Medical Center
Check out Hillcrest Exercise and Lifestyle Programs (HELP) classes for healthy ways to lose or maintain holiday weight. Starting Nov. 23 and continuing through Jan. 2, members can come weigh-in each week. Prizes will be awarded for losing or maintaining weight.
Additionally, HELP and the Hillcrest Center for Diabetes Management department are partnering to offer a heart-healthy cooking demonstration class for the holidays. The class, called “Eating for that Holiday!,” starts at 6 p.m., Nov. 13, in the Hillcrest demonstration kitchen. It’s the final class of the year, so seating is limited. Reserve your seat at 579-3385.
Exercise is also a great way to combat and prevent holiday stress. Hillcrest offers classes for tai chi, yoga, Pilates and more classes throughout the week.
