The aptly named Lily, age 4, has quite a wide circle of friends.
“Every morning, she goes up to each employee and says hi,” says Toni Garner, owner of Toni’s Flowers and Gifts. “Then she goes outside to check the squirrels.”
But that’s just the beginning of Lily’s full-time job of socializing with both man and beast. Aside from greeting every customer, she also mixes and mingles with her four-legged friends.
“People will bring in their dogs just to visit her,” Garner says.
And to keep others begging for more Lily, this standard poodle remains fashionable at all times. Much like the flowers surrounding her in the shop, Lily’s collars and scarves change with the seasons.
“She’s kind of part of our personality now,” Garner says.
