Sips

Drinks to try around town.

Wild Fork
Amber Carpenter, one of the Wild Fork managers, loves to recommend the Folie a Deux-Menage a Trois white wine (right). It’s a refreshing blend of Moscato, Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc selling for $6 a glass and $22 a bottle. Carpenter says it’s the perfect spring-to-summer white wine to sip outside on the restaurant’s patio.

Stonehorse Café
More outdoor wine sipping can be found at the popular Stonehorse Café. J.C. Tipton, one of Tulsa’s best bartenders, in my opinion, highly recommends the Tangent Albariño white wine from the Central Coast of California. Albariño is a white grape made famous in Rías Biaxas, Spain. Try this version from California while dining outside on one of the top people-viewing corners in Utica Square.

Café Olé
Sean Connolly, one of the cool managers at Olé, says the Famous Café Olé Margarita is awesome. The price is perfect, too, at $4.95 for a small and $6.95 for a large. Has anyone ever ordered a small? One step up is the Top Shelf Margarita with Gran Marnier added, $5.95 for a small and $7.95 for a large.
