Pet project
Without a doubt, pets are members of the family. Since working on this, our second Pet Issue, your pets have become members of the TulsaPeople family, too. When entries began rolling in for our annual Cutest Pet Photo Contest, opening the mail became an envied task around the Langdon Publishing offices.

The staff all fell in love with your pet photos, and choosing the winners was nearly impossible. Were it not for the help of Pat Atkinson, SPCA volunteer and TulsaPeople contributor; Marilyn King, editor of Tulsa Pets Magazine; and a blind voting process, we may never have chosen a winner. But here they are — from our cover dog, Barkley, to Spike the hedgehog — Tulsa’s cutest pets.
Now that we love your pets, we want to help you take care of them. In this special pet-focused section, you’ll read expert tips for keeping your pets healthy and happy and meet a few amazing dogs that help their owners remain healthy and happy.
