Paint the town green with Spectrum Paint
It's sustainable.
After seeing more and more about green products and “going green” in the paint industry over the past few years, the owners of Spectrum Paint Co. stores decided to get serious. This fall they opened an eco-friendly store, which offers customers a “green” option for nearly everything typically offered in a paint store.
From bamboo paint mixing sticks and paint brushes, to painting guides and tools made from compostable materials, to the low-VOC paints and the bamboo and recycled flooring in the store itself, this is as green as painting gets.
“We call it the ‘Spectrum Green Option’ because we have all the paints and supplies that a normal paint store would have but also a green option for everything you would need to complete a project,” says Gentry Detter, Spectrum’s marketing manager.
Spectrum Paint Co. is the only paint store in Oklahoma that carries Benjamin Moore’s patented waterborne colorant system. This is the only tinting system that puts zero-VOC (volatile organic compounds, which are emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids, some of which may have short- and long-term adverse health effects) colorant into a zero-VOC paint.
Benjamin Moore Natura, a zero-VOC premium-performance interior paint, is the product that sets Spectrum apart from its competition, Detter says. Natura paint is available in any color, unlike any other zero-VOC products.
