Silex Interiors has contracts with plants in China and Brazil that allow the company to fabricate 70 percent of its materials before being shipped to the U.S. The stone is then brought into the country prefabricated in three sizes. Silex can offer a high-grade material at a lower price and easier installation than that offered by competitors, says English. Silex promises your order will be installed within two weeks after the order is placed.
Tulsa area home improvements don’t have to stop with granite installation, however. The Silex Interiors 24,000-square-foot showrooms also feature stainless and Silgranite sinks, bathroom vanity cabinets and more. Silex is now also offering tumbled marble and travertine backsplash to create a more complete package for its customers’ construction or remodeling projects.

Sensus Medical Marketing Group
Combining their skills, local graphic designer Brent Burk and photographer/videographer Chris Claussen joined forces and opened the doors of Sensus Medical Marketing Group March 1. The agency formed with the purpose of helping hospitals, medical practices and other health care-related groups better market themselves.
This regional brand-communications agency offers services in everything from brand campaigning to strategic communications within the health care field. Available professional marketing services include creative concepting and development, Web development, fund-raising materials and much more.
Owners Burk and Claussen have big plans for their creative think tank. With a specific mission of improving the marketing and branding of “doctor-owned medical practices and physician-owned hospitals,” they plan to meet the needs of not only the Tulsa-area health care market but also that of the surrounding mid-central U.S. region, including Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana, Burk says.
“We started with our own Web site, where we are able to showcase our capabilities,” Burk says.
Burk and Claussen offer 35 years of cumulative field experience in both the Tulsa market and beyond. Since 2001, Burk has owned and operated Brent Burk Design, a Tulsa-based graphic design agency, while Claussen owns and runs Claussen Studios, a professional photography studio in Tulsa.
“We both had medical clients and thought that by offering photography, print, video, logo development and Web development under one roof, we could help all of our clients improve their marketing,” Burk says.
With an understanding of and background in tackling the challenges facing the health care industry, Burk and Claussen say their experience sets them apart from other marketing agencies.
