Occupation: Vice president, Arvest Bank, Next Division
This month, Arnett will take over as the 2009 chair of Tulsa’s Young Professionals.
Most dog-eared book? My Betty Crocker cookbook I’ve had since college.
Why are you involved with TYPros? Tulsa is a great place. We do a lot of things right, but we can still improve on some areas for young professionals. As (TYPros) chair, I hope to continue to make a difference.
Charity of choice? American Heart Association or anything helping kids.
Favorite piece of furniture? A red rocking chair that belonged to my great-grandma.
Favorite piece of art? A Picasso-like print of a musketeer. Most people think it’s weird. I love it.
Favorite thing about Tulsa? Our parks.
Favorite trend? Green living. Little things can make a big difference.
What magazines are always on your coffee table? Food & Wine magazine and mail-order catalogs.
Beauty routine? I use a hodge-podge of things. I should probably find a better routine now that I’m in my mid-30s.
Biggest pet peeve? People who are disrespectful to others.
Favorite ritual? Cuddle my two Labs. They’re my four-legged kids.
What do you hope to accomplish as TYPros chair? Engage new members in different professions. I want all YP voices to be represented by our group. I also want to emphasize wellness this year with healthy-living plans and activities.
Favorite quote? “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein
Who would play you in a movie? Charlize Theron. She’s graceful, fun and has a heart to help those in need.
Favorite restaurant? In the Raw.
Guilty pleasure? Buying jewelry, especially necklaces.
Favorite piece of clothing? TU sweatshirt (bought my freshman year). It’s old and ratty but super-comfortable.
Something people don’t know about you? I was very shy as a kid. It still hits me when I’m in new places.
If you could do something else, what would it be? Party planning. I love to host parties, especially to watch UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) fights.
Favorite place in Tulsa? Anything along the river. I love places from the Pedestrian Bridge to the (Jenks) RiverWalk.
Any nicknames? ShaSha.
Greatest accomplishment? Becoming chair of TYPros. We have great people involved. I feel very honored.
What are you currently reading? “The Lost Painting” by Jonathan Harr.
Most used item? My Blackberry. My friends call it my “Crackberry.”
Last thing you do before bed? A long hot bath. It’s another guilty pleasure.
