Crested Butte, Colo.
Just a short plane ride away, Crested Butte combines skiing, snowboarding and much more.
To get there: Delta and Continental Airlines will land you at Gunnison-Crested Butte Airport in about five to six hours. Shuttle service to Crested Butte is available from the airport.
Activities for all: Visit the Crested Butte Center for the Arts and its Mountain Theater to enjoy a community play or event; take a snowmobile tour; or go cross-country skiing, sledding or ice skating at the Nordic Center. Visit www.skicb.com to learn more.
