Fit to be tied
Two Guys Bowtie Co. opens storefront.
Adam Teague and Tim Paslay
Adam Teague and Tim Paslay have come a long way since founding Two Guys Bowtie Co. in 2012. In October, they appeared on ABC’s “Shark Tank,” which resulted in a partnership with apparel guru and billionaire investor Daymond John.
John bought 17.5 percent of the Tulsa company for his investment of $150,000. He will receive a 10 percent royalty until he recoups his money.
Just two weeks after the episode aired, Teague and Paslay celebrated the grand opening of their Pearl District storefront. The location at 623 S. Peoria Ave. also houses their workshop, where the company’s staff of 12 make a range of products for the growing company.
“We want to become a menswear brand,” Teague says, “and not just be known as the bow tie guys.”
