Holiday decorating on a budget

Tips from the Cascia Christmas Walk designers.*

1. Purchase permanent decorative items like garlands and wreaths. Consider them and investment that can be updated through the years.
2. Buy decorations with traditional colors like silver and gold.
3. Use elements found in your own backyard, like pinecones, as accent pieces.
4. Decorate with long lasting flowers like amaryllis or poinsettias.
5. Create settings using fresh plants or succulents.
6. Look in your produce section for fruits, nuts and berries to use as decorative touches.
