What brought you to Tulsa?
I grew up in Claremore but started going to school at TU in 1999. My first job in downtown Tulsa was in 2001 and I’ve been working and playing here ever since.
Why did you get involved in TYPros?
One of the reasons I got involved was because as a young professional, I was fortunate to be exposed to opportunities in the community that I wasn’t sure others were aware of. I wanted to create something that would give young professionals a way to connect with each other, give them access to influencers in the community and help them find the way they wanted to make a difference in Tulsa.
What was your greatest accomplishment while on (even if still on) the TYPros leadership team?
Being a part of starting TYPros will always be one of the greatest accomplishments of my career. Working with a small group of amazing people, we created TYPros from scratch, and the challenges that presented themselves were things I never expected but grew tremendously by overcoming.
What do you enjoy most about being a member of Tulsa’s Young Professionals?
Access to people, places and things that are happening in Tulsa.
What is the greatest benefit to being in TYPros?
I always tell new graduates and new Tulsans to sign up for TYPros first thing. It’s a great way to meet people and start finding your way around the community. You can get involved directly with TYPros on a crew, or let it lead you to other organizations that you’re passionate about. TYPros is a hub for young professionals to get involved in the community.

Something most people don’t know about you:
My husband and I have a sign/banner/screenprinting business he runs from home.
I love Tulsa because …
Of downtown Tulsa. I love the history and the culture. It’s got a big-city vibe, but you still run in to people you know everywhere.
