To celebrate shopping local and two big opening-day anniversaries, The Studios at Retro Den invite the community for a day of shopping, sales, fun and free activities, and birthday treats at the shop.

The Studios at Retro Den is a small-business co-op at 1216 S. Harvard. Retro Den, Oklahoma’s premiere vintage home store, celebrates 5 years in business this week. House Sparrow Fine Nesting, a handmade home textiles store based in Tulsa at The Studios at Retro Den, celebrates 3 years.

5 simple ways to freshen up your space, according to Retro Den

The Studios at Retro Den are handmade home textiles company House Sparrow Fine Nesting, stationery and calligraphy duo Laurel & Marie, sewing instructor Mary Perisho of Mary Make & Do, and modern quilting and fabric store Owl & Drum.

"We love being a part of and serving the Tulsa community," says Retro Den's Ashley Daly. "It's what gets us up each day — making homes pretty, planting plants, and making a place people feel welcome and inspired. Thank you, Tulsa for supporting our shop and other small businesses like ours; you are what makes it possible."

Hours for the birthday celebration will be Saturday, April 7, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

One-day shop specials include:

Retro Den: Everything in the store (except Gus* line)—including Retro Den’s popular line of succulents and air plants, as well as an exclusive line-up of local, handmade home goods— will be discounted by 20 percent.
