Paint the town green

kendallI'll be the first to admit it: I don't always make the extra effort to go green. It took me three months to finally call and set up recycling, and I often forget my reusable grocery bags.

The truth of the matter is it's easier to be bad than to be green.

But, thankfully, smart companies like Spectrum Paint Company, Inc. are starting to make it just a little easier to go green.

How?

By making green options readily available.

A new "green" Benjamin Moore – Spectrum Paint store, opening in the Brookside district next month, will be the first of its kind in the region. The store will carry a variety of eco-friendly products as well as the traditional Benjamin Moore line-up that has made them a leader in the paint industry for the last century. The green products will give customers the ability to do a complete paint project while still being eco-friendly. The store will still carry everything that a traditional paint store has, but the customer will have the option to go green. paint-the-town1 The store's grand opening will be held on Thursday, October 1. The open house will be from 2-6 p.m., located at 4520 S. Peoria on Brookside.
