High in fashion

andreaLast weekend, my friend and I went to the mall in hopes of finding a dress for our friend’s upcoming wedding. Instead of finding a dress, I found something better: A shoe sale at Dillard’s at Woodland Hills Mall.

Shoes are my absolute downfall. I’ll watch my spending when it comes to buying clothes, but for some reason, there seems to be a higher limit when it comes to spending on shoes. $60 for a dress is pricey, but $60 for a pair of shoes is okay with me!

I mentioned that it was New York Fashion Week two weeks ago, and now it’s Milan Fashion Week. Just like the clothes, the shoes also are rising stars on the runway.pigalle

After viewing a few mouth-watering pairs of pumps, I decided to go to one master shoe designer's site, Christian Louboutin, where one pair especially caught my eye. (You have to see his site ... it's very unique.) My absolute favorite design by Louboutin has always been his a take on a pair of ruby slipper, or in this case, a pair of burgundy, crystal encrusted stilettos, called the "Pigalle," seen in his "Classics Collection." When I first tried on the pair, it didn’t fit like a glove (it was for a model’s foot), but it sure felt like it was meant to be … one day.

Of course I can’t afford any of the heels pictured, but it’s fun to dream ...Here are a few of my favorite "One day I'll own those" pairs:
