The legend continues

The legend continues this weekend as Tulsa Indian Club hosts their 64th annual Tulsa Powwow at Cox Business Center.

It’s that time of the year once again to celebrate Tulsa’s rich Native American culture. Since 1952, Tulsa’s Indian club has brought people from around the area together for this summer celebration.

What was once a small gathering in a backyard, has grown into a national event filled with food and arts & crafts along with other traditions. One of the most known Native traditions is dance. There will be a variety of dance competitions for all age groups including traditional, straight, grass, and fancy for men and Jr. Boys and cloth, buckskin, jingle, and fancy for women and Jr. Girls.

The legend continues Saturday and Sunday, July 30-31 at the Cox Business Center downtown. The official host hotel is Best Western Plus with rates starting at $99.99 for Powwow guest. For more information about this weekend’s festivities visit
